Who searches for this, and why
The same query comes from very different people. A designer wants software for mockups. A shop owner in Tashkent has heard that sites are made in Adobe and hopes to put a page together alone. An entrepreneur in a regional city wants customers to find the business beyond Instagram and Telegram. Each needs a different answer, so the first step is to define the actual task.
One point matters most: Adobe is not a website builder. It is a family of programs for raster and vector graphics, video and document layout. What comes out of them is a mockup, a logo, a banner or a photo. A working site with an address, a request form and online payment does not appear on its own.
Adobe for building websites: where it helps
Adobe tools are good at preparation. If you already have a brand style, the source files from these programs are valuable to a developer: a vector logo, a colour palette, fonts. They cut down on revisions and save budget.
- Photoshop — retouching product photos, ad banners, cover images.
- Illustrator — logos, icons and vector decorative elements.
- Adobe Express — quick, simple visuals for social media and mailings.
- Portfolio — a simple portfolio page for creative professions, if it is part of your plan.
What Adobe cannot replace
A beautiful mockup does not bring in leads by itself. A customer who taps an Instagram ad opens your site on a phone, often on a weak mobile connection. If the page is heavy or awkward, they leave before they see your offer.
Around the design there is work that a graphics editor simply does not do:
- a domain, hosting and a secure connection;
- front-end code and development: mobile layout, loading speed;
- a content management system so you can edit prices and text yourself;
- request forms, a link to a Telegram bot or CRM, payments through Click or Payme;
- page structure and headings built for search in Russian and Uzbek;
- analytics: counters and the Meta pixel, without which you cannot tell whether the site pays off.
Three typical scenarios
A solo specialist or small studio, such as a salon or a photographer. A one-page site with a portfolio, a call button and a Telegram link is often enough. Adobe helps prepare the photos, and the page itself can be put together on a simple builder.
An online shop. Catalogue, cart, payment and stock tracking mean the bulk of the work is development and integrations; the mockup is only the start. Your site will compete with marketplaces like Uzum and listings on OLX, but it gives you your own customer base and control over your terms.
A service company: a clinic, a training centre, a B2B supplier. Here structure, trust and enquiries decide the outcome, so you need well-planned service pages, reviews, clear contacts and work on search visibility.
How to avoid wasting money at the start
A common mistake is to draw a mockup first and decide later what to do with it. Work in the opposite order: from the goal to the tools.
- Define the goal: enquiries, sales or bookings, and how you will count them.
- Collect materials: photos, texts, a logo and examples of sites you like.
- Check licences for fonts and images — pictures taken from search results are not free to use.
- Agree that the domain and hosting are registered to your company and that you receive the mockup source files.
- Connect analytics before launch so you see where visitors come from on day one.
Where to start
If you already work in Adobe and only need a mockup, fine: hand it to a developer along with the source files. If the real goal is to win customers through the site, choose a contractor rather than a program, someone who takes on the whole build and reports in plain numbers.
At markdev we build websites turnkey in Uzbekistan, from structure and design to payments and analytics. If you would like to talk through your task and decide between a builder and full custom development, leave a request and we will go through it without inflated promises.
FAQ
Can I build a whole website in Adobe?
You can design the mockup, but a finished site needs development, hosting and a domain. Some Adobe products can produce a simple page such as a portfolio, but that is not enough for a shop or for paid enquiries.
Do I need an Adobe subscription to order a website?
No. The contractor chooses the tools. You provide the logo, brand colours, photos and texts, and ask for the mockup source files when the work is finished.
What is better for a small business: a builder or custom development?
For a simple business card site or a demand test, a builder is often enough. If you need a catalogue, Click or Payme payments, integrations and growth in search, custom development fits better.
What makes up the price of a website?
The number of pages and features, design complexity, payment and CRM integrations, content work and later support. An exact figure is given once the task is clear.
