Bitrix Website Development in Uzbekistan: When It Pays Off

Bitrix website development tends to come up when a site builder no longer fits but a fully custom system feels like too much. The platform is powerful, yet it is not for everyone: in some projects it saves months of work, in others it only adds licence and maintenance costs. Here is how to decide calmly.

What 1C-Bitrix is and how it differs from Bitrix24

When people say a site is built on Bitrix, they usually mean 1C-Bitrix: Site Management, a paid PHP content management system. It is used for corporate sites, catalogues and online stores with customer accounts, filters, complex pricing rules and data exchange with accounting systems.

Bitrix24 is a different product: a CRM and workspace for your team. The two are often confused. You can connect them, for example so that website enquiries become deals automatically, but you do not need to buy one in order to use the other.

When Bitrix is the right choice

The platform pays off where a website is a working tool with business logic, not a brochure. Good signs include:

  • a large catalogue with attributes, filters and different price types for retail and wholesale buyers;
  • product and stock synchronisation with 1C or another accounting system;
  • several user groups, such as dealers, corporate clients and retail customers;
  • plans to grow with new sections, languages and integrations, without rebuilding from scratch;
  • an in-house team that will update and fill the site on its own.

When you do not need Bitrix

If you need a landing page for Instagram ads or a services page with a few blocks, the platform is overkill. The licence, properly configured hosting and a specialist for maintenance will cost more, and you will not notice the benefit. Lighter tools handle such tasks well.

Another warning sign is choosing Bitrix because an acquaintance recommended it. Define the task and the maintenance budget first, and pick the technology afterwards.

What drives the cost

An honest figure is impossible without a brief, but the structure of the budget is clear. An estimate usually includes:

  • a licence for the edition you need, which is paid and determines catalogue and store capabilities;
  • design and responsive layout, either custom or based on a ready template;
  • setup of the catalogue, product pages, filters and search;
  • integrations with payment services, delivery, 1C, a CRM and Telegram notifications;
  • content entry and migration of data from the old site;
  • hosting and regular support after launch.

What to consider in Uzbekistan

First, payments. Shoppers in Tashkent or Samarkand are used to Click and Payme, so ask the developer how they will be connected and who is responsible if a payment provider changes its requirements. Second, languages: your audience reads both Uzbek and Russian, and it is easier to build multilingual structure in from the start than to bolt it on later.

Third, traffic sources. A large share of orders comes from Instagram, Telegram and marketplaces such as Uzum or OLX. The site has to receive that traffic well: load quickly on mobile internet, offer a clear enquiry form and have analytics in place.

How to choose a developer

The market is uneven: freelancers, small studios and full-cycle agencies. The difference is often not the price but accountability. Ask to see live projects on Bitrix rather than design mock-ups, and find out who will install updates and close security gaps after launch.

Agree on metrics in advance: cost per lead, conversion to order, rankings for key queries. A common mistake is launching without analytics, which makes it impossible to tell whether the development paid off. Counters and goals should be set up before going live, not later.

Also check who owns the source code and access credentials. They should be yours, otherwise changing contractors may mean losing the site.

Where to start

Start with a short document: who your customers are, what action a visitor should take, which systems must be connected and how much you are ready to spend on support. With such a brief, any developer can give realistic timelines and a budget.

FAQ

Are Bitrix and Bitrix24 the same thing?

No. 1C-Bitrix: Site Management is a system for building websites and stores, while Bitrix24 is a CRM and team workspace. They can be connected but serve different purposes.

Is Bitrix suitable for a small online store?

If the range is small and the logic is simple, the platform may be excessive. Bitrix makes sense with a large catalogue, 1C integration and growth plans.

Can Click and Payme be connected to a Bitrix site?

Usually yes, through ready-made modules or custom development. Ask the developer how the integration is built and who maintains it when requirements change.

Is support needed after launch?

Yes. The system needs updates, security monitoring and backups. Without support, the site gradually becomes vulnerable and slow.
