Template, solution, or custom build
In 1C-Bitrix, a site template controls how the site looks: layout, fonts, colors and the arrangement of blocks. It is stored separately from your data and business logic. The Bitrix marketplace, however, also sells broader ready-made solutions that bundle a design with catalog, cart and form components and a demo page structure.
The distinction matters. A plain template gives you a look. An online store with filters, customer accounts and orders needs configured components behind it. Bitrix24 is also a separate product, built for CRM and team work, so it should not be confused with website templates.
When a ready-made template makes sense
For a business card site, a service website, a simple catalog or a quick test of an idea, a ready-made template is often enough. You launch sooner, and more of the budget goes into what actually brings customers: Meta and Google ads, content and analytics.
Templates work best when your page structure is standard and what sets you apart is the offer and the service, not the interface. A renovation studio or a dental clinic in Tashkent usually gains more from a clear page with prices explained, a portfolio and a request form than from custom animation.
Where templates start to hurt
Trouble begins when the business grows and the site runs into someone else's logic. Typical cases include an unusual product card, a complex link to your accounting system, different prices by region, or two languages that need different page structures.
Code quality is the other risk. Some templates carry heavy scripts, unoptimized images and duplicated styles. On a slow mobile connection outside the capital, such a site loads slowly and visitors leave. If you pay for ad traffic, you pay for clicks that never become inquiries.
What to check in a Bitrix template for Uzbekistan
Before buying, ask for a live demo and walk through it on your phone as a customer would. Use this checklist:
- Russian and Uzbek: a language switcher, separate page URLs and correct meta tags for each version.
- Prices in sums, displayed cleanly and consistently.
- Support for Click, Payme or whichever payment method your customers already use.
- Lead forms that deliver to Telegram, a CRM or email, not only to the admin panel.
- Responsive layout and real speed on an average smartphone and ordinary mobile internet.
- SEO fields: titles, descriptions, page addresses, structured data and a sitemap.
- Compatibility with the current product version and a clear update path.
What the price is made of
The cost of a Bitrix site is more than the template. It usually combines a product license of the right edition, the template or solution itself, customization for your processes, translation and content, suitable hosting, and ongoing support.
A cheap template can turn expensive if it has to be rebuilt almost entirely. Compare total cost of ownership over a year or two rather than the purchase price: how much will customization, updates and bug fixing take?
A practical order of work
To keep the decision from becoming a gamble, follow a simple sequence:
- Define the goal: leads, sales, bookings or visibility in search.
- Write down the page structure and must-have features before choosing a design.
- Shortlist two or three templates and run them through the checklist above.
- Ask for a technical review of the code and the amount of rework required.
- Set up analytics and goals before launch so you can see where inquiries come from.

FAQ
Is a Bitrix template the same as a ready-made solution?
No. A template covers appearance. A ready-made solution usually adds components, a section structure and settings for a specific type of site, such as a store.
Can a Bitrix site run in two languages?
Yes, but plan it from the start: a language switcher, separate URLs, translated meta data and menus. Test this in the demo before you buy a template.
Can I move from a template to a custom design later?
Usually yes, and your content normally carries over. The more you have modified the template, the harder the move, so agree on limits for customization early.
Is a Bitrix template enough for an online store in Tashkent?
It can be, provided it has proper catalog and cart components and can connect local payment and delivery options. Without those, expect a lot of extra development.
