What an objection really is
An objection is not a refusal. It is a signal that the customer lacks information, lacks confidence, or sees a risk. If nobody discusses it, the person leaves to think and often never returns. If it is handled calmly and honestly, the conversation moves on.
Doubts appear at every step. After an ad, the person wonders whether to message you at all. In chat, they compare prices. Before paying, they worry about delivery to a region, a product that does not fit, or no refund. So handling sales objections is part of the whole funnel, not just the last call.
Types of objections
Before you answer, work out what kind of objection you are facing. The same word, such as 'expensive', can mean very different things.
- Genuine: the budget, timing or terms really do not work.
- False: a polite excuse hiding another reason.
- Conditional: the customer will buy if one condition is met, such as paying in parts.
- Lack of information: something was not understood.
- Lack of trust: doubt about the company or the product.
A five-step reply
A fixed order keeps you from arguing or reaching for a discount.
First, listen to the end without interrupting. Second, acknowledge the concern: 'I understand, that is an important question.' It is not agreement, it is respect. Third, clarify: what exactly worries them, what are they comparing with, what would need to change. Fourth, answer the real reason with facts, an example, a guarantee or an alternative. Fifth, check: 'Does that answer your question?' and propose a next step. Going silent after your answer is a common mistake.
Examples for the most common phrases
'Too expensive.' Ask what they compare it with and what amount would feel comfortable. Then explain what the price consists of, offer a simpler option or payment in parts through Click or Payme. An instant discount tells the customer the price was inflated.
'I need to think.' Usually an unspoken question remains. Try: 'Of course. What would you like to think over, the price, the terms?' If they truly need time, agree on a date to follow up.
'Others are cheaper.' Find out what is included: warranty, delivery, support, quality. Show the difference, but never run the competitor down.
'I need to ask my partner.' Offer material they can forward, and ask which questions that person might raise. Answer them in advance.
Remove objections before they are spoken
If the same doubt keeps coming up week after week, it is a marketing signal, not only a sales one. Perhaps the ad promises the wrong thing, or the site lacks key details. Put the answers into your ads, Instagram profile, Uzum and OLX listings, and catalog.
Ask your sales team to write down every objection they hear for a month. Group them, then write the best answers together. This becomes a knowledge base for the team and a training tool for new hires.
One caution: do not answer objections the customer has not raised with a long speech. It can plant new doubts.
Where a Telegram bot helps
A bot does not replace a live conversation, but it covers repetitive doubts well: delivery, payment, terms, timing. It answers at night and on weekends, so the customer does not cool off until morning. It can also show reviews, offer instalments and record which questions come up most.
When a case gets complicated, the bot passes the lead to a manager with the chat history, so nobody starts from zero.
Objection or final no
If a customer calmly says several times that the product does not suit them, further persuasion hurts your reputation. Thank them, ask if you may come back later and note the reason. Circumstances change, and a respectful ending keeps the door open.

FAQ
How is an objection different from a refusal?
An objection is a doubt that can be discussed: the customer asks, compares, clarifies. A refusal is a calm, repeated 'this does not suit us'. Continue the dialogue in the first case; in the second, thank them and leave room to return.
Should I offer a discount right away if the customer says it is expensive?
No. First find out what they compare with and what budget they have in mind. Often it is enough to explain the price, offer another option or payment in parts.
What if a customer says 'I will think about it' and disappears?
Ask what exactly they want to think over and agree on a day to continue. Your follow-up should bring something useful, not just 'so, any news?'.
Can a Telegram bot handle objections?
Routine ones, yes: delivery, payment, warranty, timing. For complex cases the bot hands the lead to a manager along with the conversation history.
