Why salespeople need ready-made materials
When a manager has no proper file at hand, they quote prices from memory, type answers into Telegram and describe the company differently each time. The customer ends up with different information from different people, and that erodes trust faster than a high price does.
Good materials do three jobs. They save the salesperson time, they present the company consistently, and they answer questions before the customer asks them. They do not replace a conversation; they make it shorter and more concrete.
Which marketing materials fit which sales stage
One file cannot serve every situation. Someone who has just heard of you needs something different from a buyer ready to sign. Building the set around stages keeps it practical.
- Introduction: a short company presentation, a one-page list of services, a business card, a one- or two-minute video. Clarity and brevity matter most.
- Comparison: a catalogue with specifications, a description of how you work, examples of finished projects, reviews, certificates.
- Decision: a commercial offer with terms, a sample contract, warranty conditions, a timeline, answers to common objections.
- After the purchase: instructions, care or usage notes, support contacts, an invitation to a loyalty programme. These cut repeat questions and make a second order easier.
A starter kit for a small business
You do not need ten formats on day one. For most companies in Tashkent and the regions, a compact kit is enough, and it can be built without a large budget.
- A company presentation of a few slides
- A commercial offer template that is quick to adapt
- A catalogue or price list that is easy to forward in Telegram
- One or two pages on real projects: the task, what was done, what came out of it
- A frequently-asked-questions document for customers and new sales staff
- A business card and a small leaflet for in-person meetings
Fill them with answers, not slogans
Before you write anything, talk to your salespeople. What do customers ask most often? Where do they hesitate? What gets explained again and again? Those answers are the content. A phrase like “a wide range of services” says nothing, while a concrete list of services with the result of each says a lot.
The same goes for experience. Instead of “extensive experience”, show completed projects and the problems they solved. Use your own photos; customers spot stock images quickly, and they add no credibility.
If your buyers use both Uzbek and Russian, prepare both versions. Do not translate mechanically. Read each line and check how it sounds in everyday speech.
Format, upkeep and checking that they work
In Uzbekistan, materials are usually forwarded in Telegram and opened on a phone. Open your PDF on an ordinary smartphone and check three things: is the text readable without zooming, is the file too heavy, do tables fit the screen. A deck designed for a projector is almost unreadable on a phone. Keep logo, colours and fonts consistent across files, and put contacts and a clear next step on every one.
An outdated catalogue with wrong terms does more harm than no catalogue. Name one person responsible for materials and review them on a schedule and whenever something changes: range, prices, terms, address, contacts. Keep current versions in one shared folder and delete old ones so nobody sends them to a customer by accident.
To see whether materials work, ask salespeople which ones they use and which sit idle. Look at the questions customers ask after receiving files: if the same ones keep coming back, the answer is missing from the material. If you send presentations as links, you can also see whether they get opened.
Common mistakes and where to start
The same problems show up in company after company. Pick the stage where you lose the most customers and fix that first. Often it is comparison, where case studies and a clear description of your process are needed.
If you want your materials tied to a wider sales logic, positioning and advertising, markdev can help build that into a strategy. Tell us your task and we will suggest which materials to prepare first.
- One material for every situation
- Slides crammed with text nobody finishes reading
- No contacts and no clear next step
- Materials made without the sales team
- Several versions in circulation with different terms
FAQ
What counts as marketing materials?
Presentations, commercial offers, catalogues, price lists, brochures and leaflets, project descriptions, videos, instructions and guides. Anything that helps a customer understand the product and decide.

A short presentation, a commercial offer template, a catalogue or price list for Telegram, a couple of real project descriptions, an FAQ document and a business card.
What format is best for sending materials to customers?
A light PDF that reads well on a phone, or a link to an online page. Before sending, open the file on a smartphone and check the font, file size and tables.
