What a bot does for a business
People rarely like waiting for a reply. Messages that arrive in the evening, on a weekend or during a busy hour often sit unanswered, and the customer moves on to another shop. A bot gives the first answer immediately and keeps the conversation warm until a manager is free.
There is also less friction. Customers do not download or register anything; they write in a chat they already use, tap a button and place a request.
Tasks where a bot works well
A bot is not equally useful for every company, so pick the job first. These use cases tend to work in Tashkent and in the regions:
- taking orders and leads;
- a catalogue of products or services with prices in soums;
- appointment booking for salons, clinics, car services and training centres;
- answers to common questions: address, hours, delivery terms;
- payment through Click or Payme, where it suits your model;
- messages to customers who have subscribed;
- alerts to staff about new requests.
Decide the goal before the features
Start with one question: what action do you want from the customer? An order, a booking, a payment or a repeat purchase. The dialogue is built around that action. A bot that tries to do everything usually confuses people and sells poorly.
Write down the customer path from the first message to payment and mark where requests are lost today: unanswered Instagram direct messages, slow replies, forgotten leads. Those are the gaps a bot closes best. Build the first version around one or two main actions and expand later.
What shapes the cost of a Telegram bot
Nobody can give an honest price without knowing the task, so be wary of anyone who names a figure in a minute. The final cost depends on the complexity of the scenario, the number of dialogue branches, an admin panel, payment connection, integration with a CRM, 1C or Google Sheets, and the number of languages.
Language deserves its own attention in Uzbekistan. If your audience reads both Uzbek and Russian, the bot has to be designed for both rather than having its buttons translated at the end. Also plan for support after launch: text edits, new products and changes in third-party services.
Common mistakes
The first mistake is a bot that is disconnected from advertising and sales. The second is missing analytics, which leaves you guessing how many requests really came from the bot. The third is having no way to hand a conversation to a real person when the customer goes off script.
The fourth is expecting traffic to appear on its own. A bot does not bring customers by itself. Link it to Instagram, paid social ads, your website, a QR code at the point of sale or a Telegram channel.
How to tell whether it pays off
Agree on metrics before launch: conversations started, share that reach a request or payment, cost per request including ad spend, and time to first reply. Compare them with how things worked before, whether that was phone calls, direct messages or a website form.
If the numbers are weak, improve the scenario instead of shutting the project down. Often a rewritten first message or one fewer step makes the difference.

FAQ
Do I need a website to launch a Telegram bot?
No. The bot works inside Telegram and customers install nothing. A website can be a useful extra channel, but it is not required to start.
Can a bot accept Click or Payme payments?
Usually yes, but the connection depends on the payment provider and your agreement with it. Clarify this while planning the scenario.
What determines the price of a bot?
Scenario complexity, integrations, the number of languages and ongoing support. An exact figure is possible only after the task is reviewed.
Will a bot replace my sales manager?
No. It handles repetitive questions and the first reply. Complex cases should be passed to a real person.
