What Tilda website design really means
Tilda is a block-based builder: you assemble a page from ready-made sections such as a cover, benefits, gallery, pricing and a lead form. So design here is less about drawing from scratch and more about a series of decisions: which blocks to use, in what order, which fonts, colours and photos, and how the page behaves on a phone.
The phone part matters a lot in Uzbekistan. Most visitors open your link from Instagram or Telegram inside a mobile browser, sometimes on a slow connection outside the capital. A site that looks great on a designer's large monitor but loads heavily on a smartphone loses people before they reach the first screen.
When Tilda is a sensible choice
A builder works well when the task is clear and does not need complex logic. Typical cases on our market:
- a landing page for one service or product: a studio, clinic, courses, repairs, delivery;
- a company business-card site with contacts, a portfolio and a request form;
- a page for Meta Ads or Google Ads that must launch fast and be easy to adjust;
- testing an idea with a simple page before committing to a bigger site;
- a small catalogue where products are few and rarely change.
Where the builder hits its limits
Trouble starts when the site has to do more than show a page. A large catalogue with filters and stock levels, customer accounts, integration with an internal accounting system or unusual ordering flows will either run into platform limits or need workarounds with custom code.
Payments deserve a separate check. Click and Payme are what local buyers expect, while the built-in payment modules of most builders are aimed at other markets. You often end up with payment by link, a separate payment page or a custom integration. It is solvable, but confirm how money will actually be accepted before launch, not after.
There is also platform dependence. The site lives on someone else's infrastructure under their plans, and moving to another engine later means rebuilding the pages. For a landing page that is tolerable; for a site with a lot of content it becomes a real cost.
What makes a Tilda design effective
Everyone has the same blocks; the difference is how they are used. A strong result comes from structure rather than a flashy template: a first screen with a clear offer, then proof (work samples, reviews, real photos), pricing or the logic behind it, answers to common objections and a visible call to action.
A short checklist before launch:
- the first screen says what you offer and for whom, without scrolling;
- copy is in your audience's language, often both Russian and Uzbek versions;
- the contact button leads where customers are comfortable: Telegram, a call or a form;
- photos are your own rather than stock, and do not make the page heavy;
- no tiny text or buttons that are hard to tap on a phone;
- forms and buttons are connected to analytics so enquiries are counted.
Design is not everything: analytics and traffic
The most common mistake is launching a site and never measuring it. Without counters and goals you cannot tell which enquiries came from ads, which from search and which from Instagram. A decision to redesign then rests on gut feeling instead of data.
Agree on the metric upfront: cost per lead, page-to-enquiry conversion or search positions for the queries that matter. That decides whether you need a polished ad landing page or a site with a proper SEO structure. Tilda covers the basic SEO settings, but growing a large content project on it is harder.
How to choose who builds it
Tashkent has freelancers, small studios and full-service agencies. The difference is rarely the builder itself; it is the approach. Does the contractor ask about your audience and goal, show examples with real outcomes, and explain what the price consists of: design, copywriting, domain setup, integrations and support?
At markdev we build websites end to end: we choose the platform for the task, whether a builder or custom development, and set up analytics so the result can be checked. If you are unsure whether Tilda is enough for you, describe your task and we can work out together which option is more reasonable for your business.
FAQ
Is Tilda suitable for a business in Uzbekistan?
Yes, for landing pages, business-card sites and small catalogues. For complex online stores, customer accounts or unusual order logic, custom development is worth considering.
Can I accept Click and Payme payments on a Tilda site?
Usually through a payment link or a custom code integration rather than a ready built-in module. It is best to confirm the method before work begins.
Do I need a separate designer for a Tilda site?
A simple page may work from a template, but structure, copy and photos strongly affect enquiries. It helps when someone who understands marketing shapes the site.
Can I move a Tilda site to another platform later?
Yes, but the pages have to be rebuilt. If you expect a large, content-heavy site, assess the platform choice early.
How do I know the site is working?
Set up counters and goals, then track the number of enquiries and their cost when running ads. A good impression of the design alone is not enough.
