Start with the goal, not the design
Many owners begin with colours and layouts, but the first question is different: what is the site for? To collect enquiries, to sell online, or to give a customer something credible to find when they search your company name?
The answer shapes the structure, the budget and the timeline. A brochure site for a dental clinic in Tashkent and an online clothing store that takes Click or Payme payments are very different projects, even though both get called a website.
What turnkey website development includes
Turnkey means one team takes the project from idea to launch instead of only drawing pages. A solid scope usually covers:
- discovery: who the site is for and what action a visitor should take;
- page structure and wireframes;
- design, with a mobile version as a requirement;
- front-end and back-end development plus an admin panel;
- copywriting and translation into Russian and Uzbek;
- integrations: forms, Telegram alerts, CRM, Click, Payme;
- basic SEO, analytics setup, launch and support.
Which type of site fits your business
A landing page works when you sell one service or product, such as renovation, a course or water delivery. A multi-page site makes sense when you offer many services and customers search for them on Google and Yandex with different queries. An online store pays off when you have a catalogue, stock levels and online payments.
Sometimes Instagram plus a Telegram bot is enough, and the site only acts as a trust page. An honest developer will say so at the start instead of pushing the biggest package.
What drives the cost of a website
There is no single price for a website, and any figure quoted without a look at your task is only bait. Cost depends on the number of pages, custom design versus a template, how complex the features are (user accounts, filters, 1C or CRM sync), the number of languages, the volume of text and photos, and who prepares the content.
Domain, hosting and ongoing maintenance are paid separately. Ask for an estimate broken down by stage. That way you can see what you are paying for and compare offers from different teams fairly.
What is specific to the Uzbek market
Most visits come from phones, and not always on a fast connection, especially outside the capital. Heavy images and animations slow a page down, and a slow site loses visitors before the first screen finishes loading.
Customers are used to chatting in Telegram and Instagram, so a Write on Telegram or Call button often beats a long form. A bilingual site in Russian and Uzbek widens your audience, particularly in the regions. If you need online payments, plan Click, Payme or Uzum into the project from the start rather than bolting them on the day before launch.
How to choose a developer and measure the result
The market includes freelancers, small studios and full-service agencies. The difference is not only price: who is responsible for results after launch, whether there is a contract and signed acceptance, and who keeps the access credentials and source code all matter.
Agree on metrics up front: number of enquiries, cost per enquiry, page conversion rate, rankings for key queries. That means Google Analytics and Yandex Metrica are connected on day one, with goals set for buttons and forms. Without analytics you cannot tell whether the site pays off or the budget is simply gone. Be cautious if a team:
- promises the first search position by a specific date;
- cannot show real projects or describe its stages;
- keeps control of your domain and hosting;
- does not say who writes the copy and sets up analytics.
How to get started
Before you talk to a developer, gather a description of your services, examples of sites you like, a list of competitors, your logo and photos, and decide who will handle incoming enquiries. This speeds up the work and reduces rework.
At markdev we build turnkey websites for businesses in Uzbekistan and report on results in numbers, without inflated promises. If you want to talk through your task and work out which kind of site actually fits, leave a request and we will go through it together.
FAQ
How long does website development take?
It depends on scope and complexity. A landing page is quicker than an online store with payments and integrations. A reliable team sets deadlines by stage in the contract.
Do I need a website if I already have Instagram?
In most cases yes. A website belongs to you, can be found through search and adds credibility. Instagram and Telegram remain channels for communication and attracting customers.
Who owns the website after launch?
Put it in the contract. The domain, hosting and source code should be registered in your name or handed over to you so you do not depend on a single contractor.
Can Click or Payme be connected to a website?
Yes, local payment systems can be integrated. It is better to plan this at the beginning, because payment logic affects how the site is structured.
