Why there is no standard price
Business owners in Tashkent often ask for a price list, the way they would check a product on Uzum. But promotion is not a product. It is a set of tasks whose scope depends on your industry, your competitors and the current state of your site. An online clothing shop and a clinic with several branches have different goals, and their budgets cannot be compared.
A more useful question than how much it costs is what exactly is included and how you will know it works. A price without a description of the work says very little: the same amount could cover a full system or a couple of reports a month.
What a promotion budget is made of
The cost usually breaks into several parts. Some are recurring, and some appear only at the start.
- Site audit: technical errors, speed, structure and the mobile version.
- Keyword research in Russian and Uzbek, based on what your customers actually type.
- Content: page copy, articles, product and service descriptions.
- Technical fixes: from page addresses to structured data.
- Local presence: Google Business profile, reviews and mentions.
- Paid traffic: the Google Ads budget itself, separate from the specialist’s fee.
- Analytics: goal tracking, call tracking and counting leads that arrive through Telegram.
What makes promotion cost more or less
The first factor is competition. If dozens of companies fight for the same searches, results take longer and require more work. In a narrow niche, or in a region with few competitors, you can move with a smaller effort.
The second is the size of the site. A one-service landing page and a catalogue with thousands of items need very different amounts of editing and content. The third is language: a site in both Russian and Uzbek means about twice the work, but also a wider audience.
The fourth is timing. SEO does not work overnight, and anyone promising top positions in a couple of weeks is either choosing very easy queries or counting on you not to check.
Fix the site first, then promote it
A common mistake is paying for traffic to a site that cannot handle it. If pages load slowly on mobile data, the lead form is broken, or Click and Payme payments are not connected, every som spent on ads leaks away.
Sometimes it makes more sense to rebuild the site or create a new one before promoting it. That is not about spending more. It is a way to avoid paying twice: once to bring visitors in, and again to lose them on a weak page.
How to compare agency proposals
The Tashkent market includes freelancers, small teams and full-service agencies. The difference is rarely the price. It is transparency. Ask for a written list of what will be done in the first month, what comes later, and which numbers will appear in your report.
A good sign is when a provider talks about leads, calls and cost per enquiry, not only search positions. A warning sign is a guaranteed first place or a refusal to give you access to analytics. Without basic analytics you cannot tell whether promotion pays off or the budget is simply being spent.
Where to start
Decide what a result means for you: leads, sales or bookings. Set up counters and a way to log enquiries so that any conversation with an agency has a starting point. Then ask for an audit and a plan for the first few months.
At markdev we build websites on a turnkey basis and support their growth afterwards, with reporting in numbers and no inflated promises. If you would like to talk through your task and understand what budget your project actually needs, leave a request and we will review the situation and suggest a realistic plan.
FAQ
Why won’t agencies name a price straight away?
Because the cost depends on your industry, competition, site size and its current condition. Without an audit, any figure is a guess.
Is the ad budget included in the promotion cost?
Usually not. The specialist’s fee and the Google Ads budget are separate expenses, and it is best to discuss them separately.
How soon will SEO show results?
It depends on competition and the state of the site. It is work measured in months, not days, so a provider should explain which interim indicators you will see.
Can I promote a site that has not been updated for years?
Yes, but start with an audit. Sometimes fixing errors is enough, and sometimes building a new site and promoting that one is the better investment.
