Landing page vs. multi-page website
A multi-page website works like a shop with several rooms: catalogue, about us, blog, contacts. Visitors choose their own route. A landing page is one linear page that walks a visitor toward one action: leave a phone number, message you on Telegram, place an order. Anything that distracts from that action is removed.
A landing page can sit on its own domain or live as a section of an existing site, for example a page for one promotion or one service. This suits Instagram and Google advertising well: each ad can lead to its own page that matches exactly what the ad promised.
When a landing page is enough and when it is not
A landing page works best when the offer is simple: courses, renovation, flower delivery, a dental service, a wholesale batch of goods, an event. The decision is made quickly and no large catalogue is needed.
If you have hundreds of products, need a cart with customer accounts, or expect people to find you on Google through many different queries, one page will not be enough. An online shop is better served by a multi-page site, with marketplaces such as Uzum and OLX as an extra channel. An honest contractor will tell you this before signing, not after launch.
What a working landing page contains
Structure matters more than visual style. A beautiful page with an unclear offer will not bring leads. The core blocks are:
- a first screen that states what you offer, to whom, and what to do next
- benefits written in the customer's language, not a list of specifications
- proof: real work, reviews, documents, photos of the team
- prices, or a clear explanation of how the price is formed
- answers to common objections: timing, guarantees, payment methods
- a visible action button repeated down the page
- a short form, where name and phone number are often enough
Leads and payments: adapting to the local market
Customers in Uzbekistan are used to messaging on Telegram and calling, so place call and messenger buttons next to the form. If you sell online, connect Click or Payme so that people do not have to work out how to send money.
Instagram is a mobile app, so the page must open quickly on a smartphone, including on a weak connection. Heavy videos and uncompressed photos are a common reason for lost leads. Write the Russian and Uzbek texts separately rather than machine-translating them: the audience is mixed, many people choose their language deliberately, and a language switcher often pays for itself.
What drives the cost of a landing page
Price depends less on the number of screens and more on the amount of work: planning the structure and writing the copy, a ready template or custom design, animation and interactive elements, connecting forms to a CRM, a Telegram bot or payments, a second language version, domain and hosting, analytics setup.
A very low price usually means a template with no copy and no tracking, which leaves part of the work to you. Compare the scope of work rather than the number on the estimate, and check what you keep after handover: access rights, source files, configured goals.
Why landing pages fail to bring leads
Most failures come from the setup around the page, not from its design:
- no measurable goal: it is unclear whether success means a lead, a call or a payment
- no counters or goals in analytics, so nobody knows where customers came from
- one page used for every ad channel and every audience
- leads land on a personal phone and get lost at night or on weekends
- the page was never tested on different smartphones
- nothing changes after launch, even when the data shows weak spots
Where to start
Before development, write down three things: who your customer is, which single action you want, and how you will judge the result, whether by cost per lead or by the share of visitors who leave contact details. Then gather materials: photos, reviews, a price list. After launch, watch the numbers and keep improving the page.

FAQ
How long does it take to build a landing page?
It depends on how ready your materials are, how many approvals are needed and how complex the page is. A page on a ready structure is faster than a project with custom design and integrations. Fix the timeline by stages in the contract.
Do I need a landing page if I already have Instagram?
Instagram attracts attention, but it is hard to explain an offer, prices and terms in detail there. A landing page gives you a place to send ad traffic and a place where results can be measured.
Can a landing page rank in Google search?
It can, but the potential is limited because one page has little text and covers few queries. Most landing pages get traffic from ads; ranking for many queries needs a multi-page website.
How do I know the landing page works?
Choose the metric in advance: number of leads, cost per lead or the share of visitors who leave contact details. This requires counters and goals to be set up in analytics.
