What “ranking at the top” really means
There is no such thing as the top in general. You rank for specific queries, such as air conditioner installation in Tashkent, kids’ furniture in Samarkand, or a dentist near Chilanzar. Start by deciding which phrases matter and whether they would bring real customers.
Then ask why you want positions at all. A business needs enquiries, calls and Telegram messages, not a place in the results for its own sake. Define the goal through outcomes: number of leads, cost per lead, and the share of people who go on to buy.
Your website is the foundation, not a shop window
Search engines evaluate individual pages, not your brand as a whole. If every service is crammed onto the home page, ranking for each of them is very unlikely. Each direction needs its own page with a clear heading, a plain description, an explanation of how pricing works, and contact details.
This is where SEO and website development cannot be separated. Structure, page addresses, headings and templates are far easier to plan at the start than to rebuild after the advertising budget has already been spent.
- separate pages for services, categories and cities
- readable page addresses and a logical menu
- unique titles and descriptions on every page
- correct display on mobile phones
- fast loading even on a weak mobile connection
Speed and mobile experience
Most visitors arrive from a phone, and not always on a good connection. Heavy images, unnecessary scripts and bloated templates slow a site down, and a slow site loses both visitors and positions.
Test how your site opens on an average smartphone over mobile data, not on office Wi-Fi. If product photos are far too large, that is usually the first thing to fix.
Uzbek and Russian versions
People in Uzbekistan search in both languages and sometimes mix them in a single query. With only a Russian version, you lose the part of the audience that types in Uzbek using the Latin alphabet.
A solid approach is separate language versions with their own addresses and translation done by a person rather than a machine. Search engines then understand which version to show, and customers feel they are addressed in their own language.
Content and trust
Pages that answer real buyer questions tend to perform better than thin descriptions. Explain how the work goes, what shapes the price, what difficulties can come up, how payment through Click or Payme works, and how delivery is handled.
Add real photos, an address, working hours, reviews and links to your Instagram and Telegram. A map listing and consistent company details across platforms build trust and help in local results.
Analytics and realistic timelines
Without counters and goals, you cannot tell which pages bring customers. Set up analytics, call tracking, messenger buttons and form tracking before promotion begins, otherwise in a few months you will have nothing to compare against.
SEO is cumulative. Timing depends on competition, the age of the site and the state of existing pages, and anyone who guarantees a specific position by a specific date is promising something they cannot control. If you need leads sooner, run Google Ads alongside, while organic search works over the longer run.
Where to start this week
Write down ten queries you want to be found for and check whether each one has its own page. Then review speed, the mobile version and analytics. Often that is enough to decide whether the current site needs improvement or a rebuild.
At markdev we build websites on a turnkey basis with search in mind: structure, speed, language versions and analytics are planned from the beginning. If you would like to talk through your project, leave a request and we will look at the task together, without inflated promises.
FAQ
Can anyone guarantee first place on Google?
No. Results depend on competition, site quality and search engine decisions. A trustworthy contractor talks about the direction of work and metrics, not a guaranteed position.
What matters more for ranking: the site or backlinks?
The site comes first. Without clear structure, speed and useful pages, external links add little. Links and mentions strengthen an already solid base.
Do I need an Uzbek version of my website?
If your audience searches in Uzbek, yes. A separate version with quality translation opens an additional stream of queries and improves visitor trust.
What if I need leads right now?
Launch search ads and targeted social ads, and develop SEO in parallel. Ads bring traffic quickly, while organic search builds results over time.
