What layout is and where it ends
Layout, or front-end coding, turns a design file into HTML, CSS and JavaScript that a browser can display. It decides how a page behaves on a phone, how fast it loads on a weak mobile connection and whether a search engine can read it properly.
Layout is not the same as building the whole website. It covers how the interface looks and behaves. An admin panel, a cart, payments through Click or Payme, and integrations with a CRM or Telegram are back-end work. When someone asks for a turnkey site, the price normally includes both, plus design and content.
What drives website development cost in Uzbekistan
Price follows the amount of work, not how attractive the result looks. The main factors are:
- Number of unique templates: ten pages on one template cost less than three completely different screens.
- Layout complexity: custom grids, calculators, catalog filters and interactive blocks.
- Responsiveness: how many screen sizes and devices must be supported.
- Animation and effects: smooth reveals, parallax and background video all need separate testing.
- Quality of the source design: if the Figma file lacks button states and mobile screens, the developer has to draw them.
- CMS or builder integration: WordPress, Tilda blocks or a custom system each need different preparation.
- Speed and SEO requirements: semantic markup, image optimization and structured data.
How contractors price the work
In Tashkent you will mostly meet three models. Per-page pricing suits simple landing pages but breaks down when pages differ a lot. Hourly pricing is fair for uncertain scope but demands trust and clear time reports. A fixed price for a described list of work is the most predictable option for a business owner.
The gap between a freelancer, a small team and an agency is usually not the rate but what happens after handover: who fixes a bug on an old Android phone, who tests the lead form, who answers a month later. That is part of the cost even when the quote has no separate line for it.
What is often missing from a quote
A cheap offer often turns expensive because of items nobody discussed upfront.
- Testing in several browsers and on real phones, not only in desktop Chrome.
- Multiple languages: sites in Uzbekistan often need Russian and Uzbek, sometimes English, and long translated text can break a layout.
- Analytics and pixels: events for leads, messenger buttons and phone calls.
- Forms that send leads to Telegram or a CRM, not just to email.
- Revisions after delivery: how many rounds are included and how extra ones are charged.
- Hosting, domain and SSL, which are usually separate costs.
How to compare offers from agencies
Ask for the scope as well as the sum: how many templates, which screen sizes, which CMS, what is planned for animation and how many revision rounds are included. Two quotes with different totals frequently describe different amounts of work.
Ask for examples of finished projects and open them on your own phone. Check loading speed and behavior on a narrow screen. It is faster and more reliable than any promise.
Prepare the design before you request quotes. The more complete the source file, the more accurate the estimate and the fewer arguments later. If there is no design yet, plan it as a separate stage.
Making the site pay back
A website exists to bring in leads and sales, not to exist. So before layout begins, agree on metrics: cost per lead, share of visitors who leave contact details, search positions. Without basic analytics you cannot tell whether the work paid off or the budget was simply spent.
At markdev we build websites turnkey, from design and layout to analytics setup and reporting. If you want to estimate the scope for your task in Tashkent or the regions, send us a request and we will help you put together a clear quote.
FAQ
Can I get a layout price without a design file?
Only in broad terms. A fair estimate comes after the contractor sees the design: the number of templates, block complexity and mobile screens all change the workload.
How is layout different from website development?
Layout turns a design into pages that look right and work in a browser. Development is wider: admin panel, payments, CRM and Telegram integrations, catalog and order logic.
Do I still need layout if I use a website builder?
The builder covers part of the work, but custom blocks, mobile adaptation and loading speed still need tuning. The amount depends on the platform and the design.
Are revisions after delivery included in the price?
That depends on the agreement. Clarify upfront how many rounds are included and how additional ones are charged, so there are no surprise costs.
