End-to-End Analytics: Connect Ad Spend to Real Sales

End-to-end analytics ties your advertising spend to the money that actually arrives: you see not just what a lead cost, but whether it ended in a payment, a refusal or silence. For businesses in Tashkent and across Uzbekistan, it replaces arguments about which channel works with a simple calculation.

Why ad account reports are not enough

Every tool sees only its own slice of the journey. The Meta or Google account reports impressions, clicks and leads. Your website knows about visits. The CRM stores deals. Payments pass through Click, Payme or the cash desk, which is a third source. While these sit apart, you know the price of a lead but not the price of a customer.

A lead is not revenue. If budgets follow cost per lead alone, money drifts toward a channel that looks great in a report and sells very little.

Which data to connect

The full picture is assembled from several sources. You do not need all of them on day one, but you should know where each comes from.

  • spend from Meta Ads and Google Ads accounts;
  • website visits and goals, such as form submissions and phone taps;
  • phone calls attributed to a channel through call tracking;
  • leads from forms, a Telegram bot and Instagram messages;
  • deals, statuses and payment amounts from the CRM.

How to set it up step by step

What holds this data together are tags: UTM parameters in links, a visitor ID and phone numbers. It is easier to build the system in stages, and each stage is useful on its own.

  • add UTM tags to every ad link, including the Instagram bio link and Telegram buttons;
  • configure goals in your web analytics;
  • connect call tracking, or at least use separate numbers for separate channels;
  • make “lead source” a required field in the CRM;
  • connect the CRM to analytics and build a combined report.

Example: the cheapest lead is not always the best

Picture an appliance store advertising on Instagram and Google. Instagram leads cost noticeably less, and the ad account suggests moving budget there. The CRM, however, shows that many of those enquiries are people just checking a price, and few reach payment. Google brings fewer leads, but they close more often and for larger amounts.

This is a hypothetical case, yet the pattern is common. End-to-end analytics does not tell you to switch off Instagram. It shows that each channel plays a different role and should not be judged by a single metric.

Attribution and what the system cannot see

A perfect picture does not exist. A purchase in a physical store after someone saw an ad is hard to link to an online source. A person may see an ad on a phone and pay from a laptop. Conversations in messengers are where the source gets lost most easily.

Then there is attribution: when a customer touched several channels, the sale can be credited to the first one, the last one, or split between them. Pick one model and stay with it, otherwise monthly reports cannot be compared.

Data discipline matters more than the tool

The most common reason for wrong numbers is people, not technology. If a manager skips the source field or leaves deals open, any system will show nonsense. Make the source field mandatory and keep deal statuses short and clear. Check regularly how many leads are left as “unknown”: it is a direct measure of your data quality.

What to decide from the report

A good monthly report lists, for each channel, spend, leads, sales, revenue and ROMI. From it you reallocate budget, stop campaigns that do not pay off, and decide what to fix: ads, the website or the sales team. You can build it in a ready-made service that connects to ad accounts and the CRM, or in spreadsheets with a BI tool. The choice depends on data volume and budget.

FAQ

What is end-to-end analytics in simple terms?

It is a setup that joins advertising, lead and payment data so you can see how much revenue each channel and campaign produced, not only how many leads.

Can I start without expensive software?

Yes. UTM tags, a source field in your CRM and a monthly spreadsheet comparing spend with sales are enough for the first stage. Dedicated services and BI help once data volume grows.

Is it useful for a small business?

Yes, if you run paid ads and keep at least basic lead records. Even a simple version shows which channel brings paying customers.

Why do CRM and ad account numbers differ?

The tools use different attribution models, counting windows and ways of detecting the source. Some leads also lose their tag in chats and phone calls.
