What website development actually includes
A site has four layers: structure and copy, design, code, and connected services. Skip any one and it shows. A polished layout with no clear structure does not sell, and clean code with no analytics will never tell you whether the page works.
That is why a good project starts with questions, not a mockup. What do you sell, who buys it, how do you differ from the neighbours in your market, and what exactly should a visitor do: leave a request, call, message you on Telegram, or pay through Click or Payme. Every later decision depends on those answers.
Which type of website fits your business
Choose the type by the task, not by the budget. A store without product logistics becomes an expensive showcase, and a landing page cannot replace a company site when you need trust and search traffic.
- Landing page: one page for one offer or one ad stream. It fits when you run Meta ads and need a page built for a specific service.
- Company website: services, team, past work, contacts. Each service can get its own page, which brings in search visitors for different queries.
- Online store: catalogue, cart, online payment, stock tracking and delivery.
- Web application: customer account, roles, calculations and integrations with your internal systems.
How the work goes, step by step
A healthy process is predictable, and every stage closes with a sign-off rather than a vague “seems fine”.
- Brief and task review: product, competitors, how clients find you now, and what counts as a result.
- Structure and prototype: a screen map without graphics. Arguing about blocks is cheapest at this point.
- Copy: write it before the design, otherwise real wording will not fit the layout.
- Design and front-end build, with checks on phones. Most visitors in Uzbekistan browse on mobile.
- Launch: domain, hosting, forms, analytics counters, and requests forwarded to a manager’s Telegram so nothing sits unnoticed in an inbox.
What shapes the price and the timeline
There is no single price for website development. A one-page site on a ready structure and a portal with customer accounts are different orders of work, so an honest estimate comes after the brief and is based on the scope.
The main cost drivers are the number of pages and unique templates, the amount of design, whether you need a catalogue and online payment, how many outside systems connect, whether your copy and photos are ready, and whether you need a second language version. Photo and video shoots for the site are a separate scope.
Timelines usually slip because of waiting for content and approvals, not because of developers. Name one person who makes decisions and gather your price list, photos and service descriptions before design starts.
Common mistakes when ordering a site
The first is ordering a site “just to have one”. If nobody knows where visitors will come from, you get a business card that no one opens. The site and its traffic source, whether ads, search or Instagram, should be planned together.
The second is relying on verbal agreements. Without a written scope and an acceptance procedure, an argument over whether the payment form was included ends badly for both sides.
The third is believing promises like “first place on Google in a week” or “leads at a fixed price”. Nobody can know those numbers before launch and testing. Launching without analytics is a related trap: you cannot tell whether the site pays back.
What to ask your developer for
Plan Uzbek and Russian versions at the structure stage. Translating finished layouts almost always breaks them. After handover you should hold the access to your domain, hosting and admin panel, plus the design source files, so the site remains your asset.
At markdev we build websites end to end and think about where the traffic will come from from day one. If you want to talk through your project and work out which type of site you need, get in touch and we will go through the brief and outline the scope.
FAQ
How much does website development cost in Uzbekistan?
There is no fixed price. It depends on the site type, number of pages and templates, catalogue and payments, integrations, language versions and content readiness. A reliable estimate comes after the brief.
Can the site be in Uzbek and Russian at once?
Yes, it is a routine request. Plan both versions at the structure stage and prepare the copy in parallel, or you will have to redraw layouts later.
What do I need to provide to get started?
Brief answers, a service description or price list, your logo and brand materials, photos and contacts. Anything missing can be prepared as a separate scope of work.
Who owns the website after delivery?
You do. The contract should state that access to the domain, hosting, admin panel and design source files is handed over to you.
