What layout work covers
A designer draws the mockup in Figma or a similar tool, and a front-end developer turns it into code. The goal is simple: the page should match the design on desktop, tablet and smartphone, load quickly, and behave the same in the browsers your customers actually use.
In Uzbekistan the mobile version is the main scenario, not an extra. Many visitors arrive from Instagram or Telegram on a phone, often on mobile data. So check the work on a phone first, not on the contractor's large monitor.
- responsive behavior across screen sizes
- clean, semantic markup that search engines can read
- optimized images and fonts
- button, menu and form states, plus light animation
- testing across browsers and on real devices
Layout only, or a complete website
Ordering layout separately makes sense when you already have a design and someone to connect it to a CMS or backend, such as an in-house programmer. You buy one stage and own the integration with everything else.
If there is no design, and you need a working site with a lead form, CRM, Telegram notifications and Click or Payme payments, a turnkey build is usually the better route. Otherwise you receive HTML files that must be handed to another developer, and each handover adds questions and delays.
What shapes the price
No one can quote a fair figure without seeing the design, because cost depends on volume and complexity rather than on the word “layout”. Compare offers by scope of work, not by the final amount in sums.
The main factors:
- number of unique page templates, not total page count
- interactive parts: calculators, filters, sliders, scroll animation
- number of languages: Uzbek, Russian and English texts differ in length, so the design needs room
- speed and SEO requirements
- whether older browsers must be supported
- contractor experience and urgency
How to review the result
Ask for a staging link rather than a zip file. Open it on your own phone, on someone else's, and on an older device. Scroll the whole site, press every button and submit a test lead.
Then compare it with the design: spacing, fonts, colors, menu behavior. Check that a long product name or a name in Cyrillic and Latin letters does not break a block, and that placeholder text has been replaced with real content.
Common buyer mistakes
The first is ordering layout without a design, or with an unfinished one. The developer then makes design decisions, and revisions turn into a loop.
The second is leaving the scope vague. Responsive behavior, post-delivery fixes, source files and a period for correcting bugs should all be written down, even if only in an appendix to the contract or a message thread.
The third is skipping analytics. A finished page cannot tell you whether it pays off unless counters and goals are set up: form submissions, taps on the phone number, clicks to Telegram.
How to write the brief
A good brief fits on one page: a link to the design, the list of pages and templates, target devices, the platform the layout will plug into, a few sites you like, and the delivery format.
Decide in advance who provides texts and images and where the site will be hosted. These questions delay launches more often than the layout itself.

If you are unsure whether you need layout alone or a full website, the markdev team can look at your design or idea, estimate the scope and suggest an option that avoids paying for extras. Describe your task and we will talk it through with no obligation.
FAQ
How is layout different from website development?
Layout builds the visible pages. Development also covers server logic, an admin panel, a database, and integrations such as payments and CRM.
Can I order layout without a design?
Yes, but the design then has to be created separately or inside the same service. Without it, scope and timing are hard to estimate and changes cost more.
What should I receive at handover?
A working staging version, the project source files, launch instructions and confirmation that the pages were tested on phones and major browsers.
Do I need responsive layout if my customers use computers?
Almost always. Even office audiences include many smartphone visitors, and search engines evaluate the mobile version of a page first.
