Yandex Business for Multiple Locations: A Branch Guide

Running Yandex Business for multiple locations is a practical problem for any chain of cafes, pharmacies, clinics, salons or shops in Tashkent and the regions. A customer opens the map and looks for the nearest address. Whether they walk into your branch or a competitor across the street often depends on how carefully each listing is maintained.

Why every branch needs its own listing

On the map, each location is a standalone organisation with its own address, pin, phone number, opening hours, photos and reviews. Searches such as “pharmacy near me” or “cafe in Chilanzar” are driven by location, so a single listing that lists several addresses does not work. Customers will not see the closest branch, and ratings from different places get mixed together.

In the Yandex Business dashboard, organisations that share a name and an owner can be grouped into a chain. You then see every location in one list, edit shared details in bulk and review statistics per branch or for the whole network. If branches were once created by different people under different accounts, first consolidate the rights into one corporate account.

One brand name, no districts added

The name must be identical in every listing. That is how the platform recognises one chain and how customers recognise your brand. Adding a district or a sales pitch, such as “Brand Yunusabad cheap”, is tempting, but map rules expect the real business name. The address and the pin already tell branches apart.

What stays shared and what is unique

It helps to split the data into two groups before you start. Shared details are entered once, and branch-specific ones are filled in for each location.

  • Shared: name, logo, website, main categories, company description.
  • Unique: exact address, entrance and landmarks, directions.
  • Unique: the phone of that branch’s administrator.
  • Unique: opening hours, parking, card payment, accessibility.
  • Unique: real photos of that building and interior.
  • Unique: services or product range, if they differ.

Hours, openings and closures

The most common failure in chains is outdated data. Public holidays, Ramadan, renovations, a move to another shopping centre: one listing gets fixed, the rest are forgotten. A customer arrives at a locked door and leaves a review that stays visible for a long time.

Add a new branch before it opens and set the opening date, so the listing has time to pass moderation. When a branch closes, mark it as closed instead of deleting it. People will then see it no longer operates and will not travel to the old address.

Reviews and staff access

Reviews belong to a specific location, which is useful: people read about the place they actually plan to visit. Assign someone to answer, either branch managers or a central marketer, and agree on a consistent tone. Reviews also show which branches are letting service slip.

Branch managers can be given access to their own location only. They can update photos and hours and reply to customers without touching other listings. Keep full access with the owner or the marketing team.

Branch pages on your website

Create a separate page on your site for each branch: address, hours, phone, map, its own photos and directions. In the map listing, link to that branch page rather than the homepage. This helps customers find what they need and helps search engines connect your website with specific locations. For a business with several addresses, it is a basic but effective part of SEO.

Once a month, walk through every listing and check hours, phones, photos, unanswered reviews and edits suggested by users. A single spreadsheet of all locations works well: changes go from it to Yandex, Google, 2GIS and the website.

When listings are managed inconsistently

If your chain’s data does not match across platforms, or the site has no branch pages, markdev can help: we review the listings and site structure and propose a clear update routine. Tell us about your locations and we will discuss where to start.

FAQ

Can I list several addresses in one Yandex Business listing?

No. Each physical location should have its own listing with its own address, phone, hours and reviews. Otherwise customers cannot find the nearest branch.

Should I add the district to a branch name?

It is better not to. The name should be identical across listings and match the real business name. The district is already clear from the address and pin.

How do I limit what branch managers can change?

Give each manager access to their own location only. They can update hours and photos and answer reviews without affecting the rest of the chain.

What should I do with a closed branch?

Mark it as closed rather than deleting it. Users will see that it no longer operates and will not go to the old address.
