How to promote a Tilda website: start with a goal
Tilda lets a small business in Uzbekistan assemble a landing page quickly, whether it is for an English school, a clinic, a clothing shop or a renovation studio. But publishing a site does not bring customers by itself. Search engines and ads send people only when a page answers a specific query, and when the owner knows what counts as a result.
So pick the goal first: a phone call, a form request, a Telegram message or an order. Give each page one goal and measure the cost per enquiry rather than the raw number of visitors.
On-page SEO settings that matter
Every Tilda page has its own SEO fields. Do not leave the defaults; fill them in by hand.
If you offer several services, build a separate page for each. One long page about everything ranks poorly for any single query. Since people in Tashkent search in both Russian and Uzbek, plan both language versions and an easy way to switch between them.
- Page title: the service plus the city, for example service and Tashkent, without a pile of keywords.
- Description: one or two sentences on why someone should click.
- Page address: short, in Latin letters and readable.
- One H1 with the main query; the rest as H2 and H3, not just large fonts.
- Key text inside the blocks rather than on images, because search engines do not read banner text.
- Alt text for the important images.
- Your own domain, with a sitemap submitted to Google Search Console and Yandex Webmaster.
Speed and mobile experience
Many customers open your site on a phone, often on a mobile connection of average speed. Heavy photos, background video and too much animation make people close the tab before they see your offer. Compress images before uploading, avoid autoplay video on the first screen, and limit widgets and third-party scripts.
Test on a real phone, not only in the preview: buttons should be easy to tap, text readable without zooming, and the form should actually send. Watch out for Zero Block too. It gives design freedom, but complex layouts behave worse across screen sizes. Standard blocks are enough for an ordinary landing page.
Where the traffic comes from
Search is a slow channel and results do not appear in a week, so it helps to combine several sources at the start.
If your products also sit on Uzum or OLX, a website lets you build a base of repeat customers outside the marketplace. Give each channel its own page, or at least its own UTM tag, so you can see later where enquiries came from.
- Google Ads: fast enquiries from people already searching to buy.
- Meta Ads targeting on Instagram and Facebook: when demand has to be created, for example for a new service.
- Instagram and a Telegram channel: the link in your profile should lead to the relevant page, not the home page.
- Google Maps and a business profile: address, opening hours and reviews for local businesses.
Analytics: do not promote blind
Connect Yandex Metrica and Google Analytics, and the Meta pixel if you run ads. Set up goals: form submission, tap on the phone number, click through to a Telegram bot, the pay button for Click or Payme. Without goals you see visits but not which of them turned into money.
Once a month, check three things: which channels bring enquiries, which pages people leave, and what share of enquiries becomes a sale. The last one needs a CRM or at least a spreadsheet where managers mark outcomes. That is end-to-end analytics in its simplest form.
When Tilda is no longer enough
A builder works well for a business card site, a landing page or a small catalogue. Limits appear when you need a large catalogue with filters, a customer account, complex stock or payment integration, or deeper technical control. At that point custom development makes sense, but only after you have got the most out of the current site.
The markdev team builds websites in Uzbekistan end to end, on builders and on custom code, and also handles SEO and advertising. If you want to know what to improve on your site, tell us about your task and we will go through it together.
FAQ
Can a Tilda website rank in Google?
Yes. A Tilda site is indexed like any other if the SEO fields are filled in, the text is original, the structure is clear and the speed is decent. Results depend on competition and take time.
What matters more for a Tilda site: SEO or ads?
Ads, such as Google Ads or Instagram targeting, work better for quick enquiries. SEO gives a lasting effect but is slower. Most businesses combine them.
Do I need my own domain for a Tilda site?
For a business it is better to connect your own domain. It looks more trustworthy and the address stays yours if you change platforms. Check the connection terms in the Tilda plans.
How do I know the site is bringing customers?
Connect analytics and set up goals for enquiries, calls and Telegram clicks. Then compare the number of enquiries with ad spend and with actual sales.
