Why a Tilda site needs its own checklist
Tilda is convenient: a designer or the owner can assemble a decent-looking site in a short time. The catch is that the search-related parts, such as page titles, descriptions, URLs and indexing rules, are not visible in the blocks. They live in each page's settings, and in a rush nobody opens them.
The builder's own logic adds a second layer of problems. Large text on screen may not be a heading in the code, and a duplicated page inherits the settings of the original. To a search engine, a site that looks fine to visitors can read as a set of near-identical pages with no clear topic.
How to run a Tilda SEO audit step by step
Start with what decides whether pages can appear in search at all, and only then move to details. That way you won't spend an evening polishing descriptions on pages that are blocked from indexing.
For the first pass, the site operator in Google for your domain, the reports in Search Console and Yandex Webmaster, and the page list from your Tilda dashboard are enough.
- Indexing and duplicates: what is really in search
- Settings of every page: title, description, URL
- Heading structure and body text
- Site structure and internal links
- Mobile layout and speed
- Analytics, forms and account access
Indexing and duplicates
Compare the page list in Tilda with what search engines actually show. Typical finds: the site opens on your own domain and on the project's technical subdomain; old addresses made of the word page and a string of digits are still in results; thank-you pages and test copies are publicly visible.
The reverse happens too: an important page is accidentally hidden from search because it was created by duplicating a service page. Also confirm that the site loads on one HTTPS address and that the www and non-www versions redirect to it. If you renamed page URLs, the old ones must point to the new ones, or the visibility you built up disappears.
Headings, meta tags and copy
Go through the pages and read the search title, description and social preview. The usual problems are identical titles everywhere, empty descriptions, and a company name where the page topic should be. For a search like “dentist in Tashkent”, the page should say exactly that, not just “Clinic N”.
Then check the H1. There should be one, and it should describe the offer rather than say “Welcome”. If a big line in a block is formatted as ordinary text, the page has no heading as far as search is concerned. Zero Block adds its own risk: if key text there is an image, search engines can't read it. Fill in image descriptions as well.
Structure: one long page or several
A Tilda landing page with services, prices, reviews and contacts on the home page, and a menu made of anchor links, counts as a single page for search. It can't answer queries about apartment renovation, interior design and turnkey finishing equally well.
If you offer several services, move the main ones onto separate pages, each with its own heading and copy, and link them through the menu. A single landing page still works for Instagram and Telegram ads, but search needs separate addresses. Don't clone one text for different cities: those pages are treated as duplicates.
Mobile layout, speed and lead tracking
Most visitors in Uzbekistan arrive on a phone, often over mobile data. Open every page on a real device: Zero Block layouts are set separately for small screens, and elements often overlap. Then run key pages through PageSpeed Insights in mobile mode. The usual culprits are:
Finally, send a test enquiry from every form. It should reach your email, CRM or Telegram bot and register as a goal in Metrica and Google Analytics. Make sure the counters aren't installed twice; without that, you can't tell whether SEO brings customers.
- photos uploaded at original size
- video on the first screen
- too many animations
- chats, pop-ups and third-party counters
- fonts that the site doesn't use
Documenting results and checking ownership
Record each finding in a table: page, problem, what to change, and where in Tilda to do it. Priorities run from indexing and structure, to headings and meta tags, to speed and mobile layout. After the edits, republish the pages and verify the outcome.
Also find out whose name the Tilda account and the domain are registered under. If a freelancer built the site and kept everything, you can't change anything without them.

FAQ
Can I audit my Tilda site myself?
Yes, a basic check needs no developer: the site operator, Search Console and Webmaster reports, page settings in Tilda and a test on a phone. Judging site structure and ranking the fixes is harder and benefits from experience.
Does Tilda hold back SEO?
The platform doesn't prevent it. Problems usually come from empty settings, duplicates, one very long page and heavy blocks, all of which can be fixed.
Where should I start if time is short?
With indexing and structure: see which pages are in search, whether duplicates exist and whether any important page is blocked. Then fix headings and meta tags.
Do I need to do anything in Tilda after the fixes?
Yes. Changes take effect once you republish the pages. Then check the result in the page code or in the search engines' tools.
